Everything.

Well, yesterday I lied. It was not intentional, but sometimes I am just plain wrong. Turns out my Basic Black challenge is even MORE challenging than I originally thought. The challenge is to use Basic Black and a single color from the Bold Brights family. So, I chose one of my favorite stamp sets and a color from the Bold Brights family I happened to have on hand, Orchid Opulence. So, here it is. What do you think?

And here's a little closeup of the delicious texture:

Host a Workshop

Why host a workshop? It's easy and FUN! You also have the chance to earn Stampin' Up high quality merchandise completely free!
What happens at a workshop? At an in home workshop, you get a chance to gather with your friends and complete two great Stampin' Up projects. Each person gets to create their own card and small gift packaging and take them home that evening. I will bring all the supplies needed to complete the projects as well as many samples of projects I have previously created. I will also bring plenty of copies of the Stampin' Up exclusive Idea Book and Catalog for everyone to look over.

What's in it for my friends? Your friends will have the opportunity to learn about the exciting products Stampin' Up has to offer as well as use these products to create their own projects. They will also have the chance to win a door prize valued up to $9.95 to take home with them that evening. Chances are your friends will have such a great time at your workshop, they will want to book one of their own! If they do book a workshop that night, they get to take home with them the Idea Book and Catalog to keep as well as choose a cupcake box with a gift inside valued up to $9.95 to be received the night of their own workshop.

What's in it for ME? Wow! There are quite a few perks to hosting a Stampin' Up workshop. The second you and I have agreed to a date and it is marked in our calendars, you will receive Stampin Up's full color, exclusive Idea Book and Catalog to keep. That is a value of $9.95! You will also get to choose a box from my stack of cupcake boxes with a special gift inside valued up to $9.95. You will receive this gift the night of your workshop. I am also going to let you choose ANY stamp set from the current Occasions Mini Catalog valued up to $12.95! On top of all those wonderful gifts, you get to keep any samples I create to show that evening AND you have a great opportunity to earn even more free merchandise based on the sales at your workshop. Click here to see the hostess rewards chart.

What do I need to do to prepare for my workshop?  Your workshop can be as big or small as you like it to be. Of course, the more guests your invite, the more chance you have for earning free merchandise! I will provide you with beautiful full color Stampin' Up postcard invitations to send to your guests. I will also give you tips on increasing your workshop attendance. On the night of your workshop, you simply provide an area with ample room for crafting and refreshments of your choosing. The workshop is completely tailored to fit the personality of the host and guests!

I signed up to do a swap with fellow demonstrators in which black would be a featured color. I am finding this challenge.... well, challenging. This is what I came up with. I don't know if black is "featured," but it's there. I love how this card has a delicate vintage feel.
